I had been keeping my Playstation 3 in the box it came in when it was not in use, however there was a *ahem* mishap earlier which means that likely won't be possible.

So I am looking at options. Amazon have a "Playstation 3 System Messenger Bag" listed, but it doesn't seem to be available here. I've had a look around all the usual New-Zealand-based computer stores, and none of them have any sort of a PS3 bag listed. I can't be the first person in the history of New Zealand to want something to put their PS3 in something when it's not being used.

It's possible maybe that a regular laptop bag will work. PS3s and laptops are distinctly different shapes though. I shall have to make some inquiries tomorrow.

I use plastic stackable storage boxes for my consoles.

For a PS3 it'd have to be a fairly large laptop case.

Well just be glad it didn't hit your keyboard! While I have a bag bought special for my Wii, I haven't used it yet. That said, the Wii is a odd shape and it needed a special bag. A nice medium, well padded, messenger bag or similar mid sized laptop bag, may do the trick for a PS3 (which is kind of what the one on Amazon looks like - a regular laptop/messenger bag converted into a specific PS3 item). My suggestion is to just take a look at a local store that has that type of stuff and see if you think any of them might work.

My PS3 is on a table in the living room, along with the Wii, which I bought special for them. The story here is I couldn't find a well ventilated area out in the living room and I saw this fairly in expensive three legged table that has a optional plastic top and table cloths and thought - "Hey, that might work!" I actually think it looks kind of nice :) .

I ended up with a laptop bag that it seems to fit in all right. Alas, I don't have the room for an actual table to put it on. :)

I had to LOL at that. Even though this table doesn't take up much space, I have a feeling your right on this ;) .
