1. Diplomacy is no substitute for blowing shit up.
2. You can make a science fiction movie just by stringing cliches together.
3. Two people can fire machine guns at each other from a few feet away and completely fail to hit each other for a full two seconds (see also The A Team).

Yup.

I'm going to have to see this movie...

That's actually *accurate*. I haven't seen the movie, but when you're in a real-live firefight (or even a simulated one) your adrenilen goes through the roof, you start to shake, your vision tunnels... Lots of things happen, *plus* the other person's shooting back at you. Unless people have training, odds are, you'll hit jack. Except for those innocent bystanders who were in the wrong time at the wrong place...

Yeah, but if they're green troops it may not count for much...
