Tattoo: Voyager is stopped at a moon where they are searching for resources. They find a strange symbol from Chakotay's childhood which lead them to a planet.

Continuity: Ensign Wildman reappears. Kes tells the HoloDoc off for not being compassionate toward the woman.

Chakotay was a breach birth. TMI. He was also quite a skeptic as a youth and progressive for his tribe.

HoloDoc restored the "Please state the nature of the medical emergency" part of his program because he couldn't think of a better way to break the ice. He also programs himself to suffer a flu.

Tuvok used to breed orchids. Apparently Neelix does too, but he eats them. Git.

Captain Sulu (presumably the TOS Sulu) sponsored Chakotay's entry into the academy. Sulu was apparently patrolling the Cardassian border (The Cardassians were active that far back?!)

Star Fleet protocol states away team members must remained armed at all times until contact is made. We come in peace, hmm?

Another shuttle goes missing on the planet. THey try to land Voyager but encounter extreme turbulence which knocks the inertial dampeners offline (how?!).

Random thoughts: There is altogether too much Neelix in this story.

Naked Chakotay. Just wrong in so many ways.

Cold Fire: The remains of the Caretaker begin vibrating, leading the Voyager crew to a space station populated by Uber-Ocampa.

Continuity: this is ten months after Caretaker. So seasons don't correspond to years.

Tuvok is helping Kes develop her telepathy. Tannis teaches her telekinesis as well, and she ends up boiling Tuvok.

Apparently Voyager has a bad reputation in the Delta Quadrant now.

The Uber Ocampa live up to 20 years old.

Random Thoughts: Hey, there's Gary "Alien Nation" Graham playing an Ocampa.

Hmm, and the female caretaker just pisses off without so much as a goodbye. Charming.

Tuvok: "Without the darkness, how would we recognise the light?"

Tattoo was pretty naff and boring. Cold Fire was OK, but not spectacular.
