Brilliant but slightly odd but very nice

I was going to revisit Maneuvers, because there's a few bizarre pieces of logic throwen in there (such as Seska's announcement at the end. WTF?) but I couldn't be bothered.

So next in Alden's ongoing mission to break his fragile little mind:

Prototype: A robot found floating in space is beamed aboard Voyager.

We start off with Robocop vision. Yay! people starting directly at camera! Argh! Get it away!!! Hrm, I don't remember this episode at all.

Kim: "I can go without sleep as long as you can." Argh, bad mental image.

Torres is a coffee fiend. Neelix cuts her off though. And sends her to bed.

It lives! And it's giving me robophobia. Creepy-arse robot. It wants Torres to help it reproduce though. And Janeways says they can't because it's against the Prime Directive.

Of course, this means the robot has to kidnap Torres.

More pointless evasive patterns which don't dodge any enemy fire at all. The robot forces Torress to have a go at making a power module.

Robot: "According to my observations, there is now sufficient reason for greater optimism." Groovy.

Gratuitous reference to Data from TNG!

Torres is adjusting the flux capacitance. Geeky!

Yay, ironic war backstory. The robots creators stopped the war and called a truce, whereapon the robots realised they were going to be dismantled, they turned on their creators. But not very original. Ah well.
