And, yes, this actually *is* the end of the season.

Basics, Part 1: When Chakotay discovers Seska has had his baby, they rush to find it.

Yay, it's Sudor! Tuvok is helping him with meditation.

Ah, Seska has had Chakotay's baby. That woman has little sense, and has now discovered that her Kazon toyboy is not happy she had someone else's baby. Am beginning to suspect the real reason the Cardassians sent her to spy on the Marqui was because they wanted rid of her.

Janeway says Chakotay needs to think about child support. Chaks consules his dad via some sort of vision. Dad is happy he's now a granddad, but Chaks points out he didn't get to do the squishy sex part of conceiving it. Dad says sod it, a baby is a baby.

So what now? they're going to sidle up to ever Kazon ship they come across and ask if they happen to have Seska on board? But they recover an injured Kazon from a shuttle and he tells that Seska is dead. Chaks wants the HoloDoc to help him do a polygraph test, but HoloDoc says they wouldn't be able to get a baseline result.

They're going to go rescue the baby from the planet it's been taken to. Oddly enough it's a trap and the Kazon turn up.

Torres and co use holoship decoys, including, at one point, the HoloDoc by accident. Hahaha. They use three photon torpedoes to blow up a Kazon ship too.

Meanwhile the Kazon prisoner does something funky to himself and explodes, damaging Voyager. Paris farks off in a shuttle to get the Talaxians. The Kazon storm Voyager, taking over the ship. Surprise, suprise, Seska isn't dead.

Gee, the Kazon are pretty good at piloting Voyager, considering it's alien technology to them. They dump the crew on the nearest available planet and sod off.

And rest. Or watch the extras as the case may be.

When you write ST:V, I keep thinking Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. Not quite the same.

Yeah, I think fandom had to adjust the abbreviation for Final Frontier to ST:5 to prevent confusion.
