Dear BBC

You know that series you keep releasing on DVD. No, not Dad's Army, the Doctor Who one. Well, I thought I'd mention that with the releasing of the Lost in Time box set, almost every companion is now represented by at least one episode on DVD. Almost every companion, I say, because you appear to have neglected to release any episodes at all containing one Melanie Bush, formerly of Pease Pottage. I know she's played by Bonnie Langford, and Bonnie's not to everyone's taste, and I know she's unpopular, but some of us like her.

And, come on, Katarina, a bit companion from two Hartnell stories, has had more DVD time than Mel. Jo Grant's underwear has had more DVD screen time than Mel Bush. Mark Ayres has had more DVD screen time than Mel, and he wasn't even in the show!

So, please, release a Mel story on DVD. Anything. I'll even be happy with Dragonfire, even if you only release it because it has Ace in it and Mel leaves.

Thanking you in advance,
Alden.

To be fair mate, not many of her stories are actually that good. Although I wouldn't mind a Trial boxset...

My money is that Trial will be the next classic-series boxset.

Jo Grant's underwear has had more DVD screen time than Mel Bush.

This strikes me as funny. I await the cries of "filth!"

And here's where I admit that I really like Paradise Towers. It's kind of goofy and there's the evil man-eating computer so you want to just laugh, but then you realize how creepy it is that the entire building is populated by cannibals.

Oh, don't exaggerate. It was only the two ladies in that one apartment, no?

I think they were just better at eating everyone else, you know? But I didn't see any other food sources so.... I mean, even the computer ate people.

I think there's a line or something about them living on rats as well...
