Once Upon a Time: While Naomi's mother is missing on the Delta Flyer, Neelix attempts to keep Naomi entertained.
Hey, look, it's some dull holodeck game. Two holodecks for the whole ship, and even the kid gets holodeck time. Amaaaaazing.
Meanwhile, in more interesting places, Paris, Tuvok and Naomi's mum are braving an ion storm in the Flyer. After the title sequence, the exposition meeting reveals the Flyer has gone missing. Janeway assigns Neelix to keeping Naomi occupied so she didn't get suspicious her mum isn't back. Because Neelix has nothing to do, evidently.
Naomi worries that Seven will assimilate her, and complains that the HoloDoc talks too much. Bless. Meanwhile, the Flyer crashlands on a planet, seriously injuring Wildman.
Voyager reaches the planet, and they begin the search, while the HoloDoc entertains Naomi with intensely boring medical stuff. Then Neelix and Naomi go play another Hologame, in which a fire wipes out the forest. Happy fluff!
Neelix gets Kim to replicate a plush toy of one of the holocharacters to try to cheer Naomi up. It doesn't work, so he puts her in bed and talks to a picture of his dead sister. Then relives their deaths in a dream.
Seven says she was six when she was assimilated. Neelix says that's not much older than Naomi is now. Naomi is what? 3? OMG, Neelix is shouting at Janeway!
Naomi scouts around the ship and heads for the bridge to find Neelix, and walks in on the search effort. Meanwhile, on the flyer, they're recording their farewell messages.
The search teams race against time to dig the Flyer out before another Ion storm comes up. They, of course, succeed and HoloDoc patches Wildman up, and they all go play the holodeck game again. Teh end.
