Strange New World: An away team attempts to spend the night on a planet, with hilarious results!

Some crewmembers discuss a planet they just reached. Archer is excited because it appears to be unclaimed. T'Pol says they should send down probes, but Archer doesn't want to wait seven days before he can go down and roll in the dirt.

*waves lighter back and forth for theme tune*

Sheesh, howmany people are they taking down? And the dog?! Trip takes pictures. Then they wander around doign scans and stuff. T'Pol decides to keep an away team down there overnight and camp, and Trip and Mayweather decide to camp out too.

Then in the middle of the night, a storm blows up, then Trip and Mayweather freak out because a scorpion got in their tent, so they retreat to a cave. But they forgot the food, so Mayweather goes back for it, and see people wandering around on the way. Then one of the crewmen starts hearing voices and runs off. Uh, people, stay in pairs at least. Nope, they're all over the place now.

Trip and Mayweather wander around outside, and Trip sees something come out of a rock. Cutler sees T'Pol speaking to someone in the cave, but she denies everything. Paranoia starts here.

Archer and Reed take a shuttle down, but the missing crewmember tells them to go to hell. The wind is too great for them to land, and they sod off again, allowing the away team to return to the cave and continue with the paranoia already.

Back on the Enterprise, they decide to beam up the missing crewman and he arrives with leaves and stuff stuck in him.

Trip rants at length and in paranoid fashion. T'Pol starts getting antsy as well.

Phlox says the injured crewman has been affected by a hallucinagenic in the planet's atmosphere. They phone T'Pol and inform them of what's going on, and manages to persuade Trip to relax a bit.

Trip continues ranting while the rest of the away team become more incapacitated. Finally T'Pol gets hold of a phase pistol and they have a stand-down.

Phlox reports that the crewmember they beamed up died because of a toxin which appeared when the hallucinagenic agent broke down. Bummer. Archer seems pissed, and rings T'Pol again to tell her they're going to beam down some medication.

Trip sees more rock people and freaks. Archer strings him a story about a secret mission and rock people so he'll lower his weapon, and T'Pol can stun his arse. Then she injects everyone with medication and they sleep til morning, at which point Trip looks extremely sheepish.

Then they go home. Teh end.
