Unexpected: Aliens impregnate Trip. Yup, that's pretty unexpected all right.

Archer hasn't got the hang of zero-g showering, apparently. Ow. Wait, that was the precredits teaser? WTF?

*glares at title sequence*

Phlox attempts to get T'Pol interested in blueberry pancakes. Then she requests water from the not-replicator and gets a gluggy black substance almost exactly unlike tea. Archer persuades Trip it nmight be a good idea to drop out of warp, and they determine that there's a ship in Enterprise's wake. The other ship says they've been using the plasma exhaust to repair their gear.

They send Trip over so he can help fix their engines, and so on. Ooo, look, they're gassing him. Uhhh, that's one funky engine room. Trip's feeling weird, so Archer tells him to go take a nap, as der aliens have said.

After his nap, one of the aliens feeds him water, which he appears to enjoy entirely too much, then they go fix up the engine room. Once that's done, she takes him to try out their holodeck. He looks suitibly impressed. Then she sexes him without warning! Oh no!

Trip goes back to Enterprise and they part ways. Later on when Trip's eating scrambled eggs, he sees a bump on his arm. Phlox says "OMG! YOU'VE BEEN MPREGGED!" Trip: "WTF?!" T'Pol: "OMG!" Archer: *snicker*

Phlox says an abortion is out of the question, as he's be lynched by anti-abortion protesters, so they go in search of the alien ship.

Trip starts getting material instincts and paranoia and more extra nipples. Archer breaks it to him that they may not find the aliens, and he may be stuck with mini-Trip. Archer is enjoying this far too much.

They find the alien ship trailing a Klingon battle cruiser. The Klingons start firing at the Enterprise because they were a bit offended. Klingons are *always* offended. After Archer explains the situation, the Klingons capture the alien ship and prepare to capture and execute the crew. T'Pol explains about Klang, and Trip explains about the holodeck. The Klingons are more impressed by Trip's pregnancy.

Klingon: "I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!" Ha!

The aliens transfer the baby to another host, and the three species part ways. Archer and T'Pol make fun of Trip some more. Teh end.

Unexpected's not that bad an episode...Trip's
initial POV of the alien ship is very trippy
and well done. However, where it falls down
for me is the snicksnicker schoolboy rubbish
that follows when Trip becomes preggers and
the crew find out. Hey, you clowns, you're
supposed to be open-minded about alien
cultures. Don't be so immature! :)

They're not really snickering at the alien culture, but at Trip getting knocked up. It's a loada rubbish, of course, because the human male body wouldn't be built for it anyway. :)
