Marauders: Enterprise locates some deuterium miners who are having some Klingon problems.
Some sort of minimalist alien colony... And an Enterprise shuttlepod lands nearby. YAAAAAAAAAY!
They shoulda done a TOS version of the theme. It's been a long road, gett'n from bald to hair/It's been a long time, but my toupee's finally here
Archer, Trip and T'Pol jump out of the pod and say hi. Enterprise is running low on deuterium and they want to trade. Teh aliens will help if Trip can fix their pumps. Trip finds a kid named Kel in the shuttle, and they talk about piloting. Meanwhile, Archer haggles.
One of the aliens gets medical supplies from Phlox, and he's suspicious by how hardcore the stuff she's getting is. T'Pol's outfit is blinding white. That's almost painful.
Meanwhile, a Klingon (oh, speak of the devil) ship drops out of warp nearby. The aliens ask Archer and co to leave for a while, cause the Klingons don't like other people around.
A bunch'o Klingons beam down and make chummy, until they find there isn't enough deuterium. The Klingons give them four days, and then beam off.
The aliens give Archer and co some deuterium and ask them to leave. Archer ponders taking on the Klingons. Oh, that was hardly a battlecruiser they pulled out of that gas giant. It was a scout ship at best.
Archer helps one of the aliens repair something, while discussing what to do about the Klingons. They decide to make a stand, and they begin planning a trap.
They relocate all the buildings along 50 metres, and train some of them up in shoot'n and martial arts. Grief. Won't the Klingons notice the beam-down co-ordinates have changed?
The Klingons come back and find the place fair deserted. Until people start shooting at them and beating them up. Then they spot the people hiding in the dunes and pursue, unfortuanately this takes them to the disguised bore heads, which the miners ignite, and the Klingons are forced to flee.
Trip says goodbye to Kel and gives him a copy of the Enterprise schmatics. Congrats, kid, you're the first Trekkie in their universe. The aliens give Archer a whole lot more deuterium in thanks. Teh end.
