Oh, hey, season 3.
Kira bitches about the fact that DS9 wouldn't have a chance of repelling a Jem'Hadar attack. Dax suggests collapsing the wormhole.
OMG! What happened to Dax's hair! Seriously. It looks like a hair helmet.
Then Sisko turned up in a highly experimental warship named the Defiant, originally designed for the war against the Borg. He's going to go visit the Founders. The ship also has a cloaking device supplied by the Romulans, and Subcommander T'Rul is on board (along with Lt. Commander Eddington) to look after it. Odo's miffed because Eddington is taking over some of his security duties and promptly resigns.
Jake and Sisko look at Sisko's collection of African art which he's brought from Earth and muse about how they think of the station as home. Kira tries to invite Odo along on the mission to cheer him up, but fails. Sisko invites Quark along too.
So, they pop off to the Gamma Quadrant. Odo ends up bunked in the same quarters with Quark, apparently for comedy value, and seems extra cranky, even for him. Two Jem'Hadar ships turn up and scan the area, but don't find the cloaked ship.
Quark talks to one of his customers in an attempt to contact the Founders. He says his only contact with them is via the Vorta.
Leaving Quark behind, they proceed to another star system and Dax and O'Brien beam to a Dominion outpost to do some spying. Unfortunately they trip something, and the outpost shields go up. With Jem'Hadar ships incoming, the Defiant bugs. Way to abandon them, Sisko.
Sisko finally notices Odo is being cranky, and Kira volunteers to go talk to him. Odo says he wants to go to the Omarion Nebula. Unfortunately then the Jem'Hadar manage to penetrate the cloaking device, and mount an attack (oer). Jem'Hadar board and engage in fisticuffs. During the battle, Kira is stunned and wakes to find herself on a shuttle with Odo. Odo doesn't know what happened to the others, but says they're on the way to the Omarian Nebula, where they find a drifting Class M planet. Beaming down, they find a vast lake which turns out to be composed of Odo-esque shapeshifters. TO BE CONTINUED! WOOOOOOOO!
