Honestly? I liked it. But I went into it expecting different things. It was two episodes of the tv show strapped together. That was about it. But that was all I wanted. To See Mulder and Scully being Mulder and Scully. Oh and I did think Billy Connolly was *really* good.
I think as i knew all along this was more 'monster of the week' rather than government conspiracy... Btw, I cheered for the character that entered 5mins before the end.
I also thought Connolly accepting the role was interesting given that IIRC he was abused as a child by a member of the church.
Also, some people died who i didn't expect to.
I think by the end Anderson and Duchovny fitted back into the characters. I hope a 3rd film (maybe a Straight to DVD would work?) will follow. It did make me realize how much i missed them. And i've spent the past X months watching all the episodes from 1x01 till i think i made it to the end of series 7. Still have the last few to do.
I watched it on and off when it was on telly. I never really got into it seriously, but I did like it. I don't think I saw any of the episodes Lucy Lawless was in, which probably makes me a bad Kiwi. :)
